What’s happening across the region with Dreadnought Resources?

 We’re committed to keeping the local community, businesses, and Traditional Owners up to date with what’s going on across the areas where we work. Here’s a snapshot of activity for the months ahead.

Airborne surveys (usually by light aircraft or helicopter)

Dreadnought personnel and contractors will be camping on-site, walking and driving through the bush, and collecting small samples. We’re doing this kind of work in these areas:

These activities are happening on Budina, Thudgari, and TMWTJ Country, across Lyndon, Williambury, Maroonah-Mangaroon, and Gifford Creek-Wanna Stations, within the Upper Gascoyne and Carnarvon Shires.

 We plan to run three to four drilling programs at Mangaroon in 2025. These will go ahead once we:

Work with Traditional Owners to complete heritage surveys

Wait for heritage clearance before starting

Follow environmental plans to limit impact on the land

Star of Mangaroon (Thudgari Country) - Drilling is already underway, with all heritage surveys completed through Kulyamba.

Steve’s Reward and Inevitable (Thudgari Country and parts of Mangaroon, Lyndon, and Williambury Stations) - Heritage survey planned for early May, drilling to follow in June.

Cullens, Midday Moon and Midnight Star (Budina Country, Lyndon Station) - Heritage survey booked via YMAC for June.

Minga Bar Fault and Nina Target (Thudgari and TMWTJ Country, across Mangaroon, Minnie Creek and Gifford Creek Stations) - Thudgari survey request submitted, and TMWTJ request being finalised and will go in soon.

We’ll keep communities updated as these plans move ahead.

 Once we find something promising, we do more detailed studies and planning. This includes:

Drilling more closely to confirm what’s there

Surveys on plants, animals, soil and water

Talking with Stations and Shires about access

In the final planning stages for Star of Mangaroon

Starting early planning for other mining areas

Expecting to receive mining approvals by late 2025

If those approvals go ahead, we plan to start mining shortly after.

 If we find more gold in nearby areas, we’ll go through the same process to extend the mine — helping to create royalties, jobs and opportunities for the region.

With the weather cooling off, Dreadnought Resources will have a consistent presence at our Mangaroon Project throughout the year, up until the warmer months return around October or November.

Our priority this year is advancing the Star of Mangaroon Gold Mine into production. Located on Thudgari Country and Mangaroon Station in the Shire of Upper Gascoyne, this project represents a key milestone for Dreadnought and the Traditional Owners, with production from the mine set to generate royalties for the Thudgari People.

We’ve already found a small but high-grade gold deposit at Star of Mangaroon, currently estimated to support a 

. We’re applying for approvals to start mining and looking to grow the mine with nearby deposits.

, including Star of Mangaroon, Popeye, Lead Gold Mine, Two Peaks, and Pritchard’s Well—all located on Thudgari Country and Mangaroon Station.

This year, we’ll continue exploring and drilling across the Mangaroon Project. Our goals are to:

Grow the gold resources on our approved leases

This work takes place across several Traditional Lands, Stations, and Shires.
